"Pink Cowboy Boots" is a short film from France by Maria Larrea. It tells the endearing story of a girl working in a radio station who has a massive crush on a co-worker named Jean-Michel (played by Robin Coudert, keyboardist for AIR and Phoenix). The film also features a cameo by eccentric performer Sebastian Tellier. Although "Pink Cowboy Boots" is shot entirely in French with no subtitles, it is extremely easy to understand for those who don't speak the language. Have a look!

If you still haven't heard about José Gonzalez, he is this young alien who already sold more than 700,000 records of his debut album "Veneer". With a Spanish name, this Swedish singer-songwriter is creating some magical folk songs and original acoustic covers of his friend The Knife, Bruce Springsteen, Joy Division or Kylie Minogue. After four years of constant touring José González returns with his second album "In Our Nature" released September 25, 2007 and starts touring again... If you get a chance go and see him at Spiegeltent in NYC on August 21, 2007. Untill then you still can watch this new video clip of "Down the Line" directed by Andreas Nilsson (already known for his amazing work on The Knife's songs):
What can you do when it's hot, it's your day off, and you live in Brooklyn near MCCarren Pool? For the neophites, hipsters do not go to a swimming pool to swim anymore but to spend their afternoon listening to music, drinking and having sun. The dominical ritual happened this week again. Arrived at 4 pm, I finally reached the front raw and there I just contemplated the stage and the 21 persons singing and jumping on it who made me think first the Bloody Maries were maybe to strong on the morning. But I think this is one of the expected "I'm from Barcelona"'s effects. You smile, you sing and clapping your hands you just try to understand what's really happening. It is still under the sun that the headliners Blonde Rehead had replaced then the crazy Swedish band. The sexy trio played untill sunset, and end the pool party in a beautiful way. So addicted to postmodern pool afternoons?
