Spotlight on a lighting Designer...

"Provoking Magic: Lighting of Ingo Maurer" is the name of the upcoming exhibition of the Cooper Hewitt National Design Museum from September 14, 2007 to January 27, 2008 . As its title suggests it, this retrospective will offer an overview of the artist four decades of work.
In preparation to the show Mr Maurer is redoing his SoHo shop, where a renovation sale has started. It runs through July 29, at Ingo Maurer, 89 Grand Street in New York. Forty of his pieces will be about half price.
Two different ways then to get familiar with the munich-based designer...So consumer or esthete just follow the light!
