Lincoln Center Festival, July 10th

Jean de La Fontaine is on of these timeless authors who go through the times with the same accuracy. His allegorical tales offer a universal language which can be spoken by everyone whatever the age, the nationality, the time. As a proof, the very talented American director Robert Wilson will direct at the Gerald W. Lynch Theater 15 of the best French actors in the 19 La Fontaine selected vignettes, lasting no more than 5 minutes each. This new set up, mixes music, visual art, and literature and reveal all the poetry, the humour and the modernity of La Fontaine writing. The play will be in French with English subtitles.
