Girls Gone Green!

The Lower East Side Girls Club is a New York City organization that works with young women and their families to raise the next generation of positive female leaders. Founded by Lyn Pentecost, the Girls Club is a favorite cause for It-Girl actress Rosario Dawson, and attracts downtown starlets, Hollywood, theater and media types to its charity events.

The LES Girls Club will be participating in Sea of People 2007; a demonstration to encourage government leaders to take drastic action to prevent global warming. It will take place on Saturday, April 14 at Battery Park in Lower Manhattan. Those who would like to participate are asked to meet at the Girls Club which is located at 56 E 1st st between 1st & 2nd Avenues at 11:00am.
